Burnout happens slowly; you don’t notice it straight away. The lunch break you skipped, no time for a walk today, why bother talking to your colleagues, when you have so much work to do. Slowly, slowly, you stop taking care of yourself, your relationships, and your life in general. The only thing that’s left is work. And the hope that your efforts will be appreciated, that you will finally get celebrated, promoted, and that people will be grateful. But none of this happens.
